Supply only - you install
Argon Gas Fill
Argon between the panes acts as a thermal blanket and blocks more damaging UV rays than regular air — preventing draperies and carpets from fading over time.
ENERGY STAR® Qualified
Our Gentek windows are ENERGY STAR® qualified — the international symbol identifying the most energy-efficient products on the market.
Warm-Edge Spacers
Our insulated glass units use warm-edge spacers that reduce heat conductivity by 75% compared to conventional aluminum spacers — offering superior insulation performance.
Low-E Coating
A microscopically thin, spectrally selective coating that reflects radiant heat back inside in winter and blocks solar heat in summer. Makes your home more than twice as energy-efficient as older double glazing.
Built-In Efficiency
Why Gentek Windows & Patio Doors
All of our windows and patio doors automatically come with a warm-edge spacer, Low-E coating, and Argon gas fill for maximum energy efficiency. That's a serious upgrade over standard builder-grade product.

Casement
Hinged on the side and opens outward with a crank. Casements provide the strongest ventilation of any style and have a clean look with no meeting rail through the centre. Ideal for kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, and anywhere you want fresh air without lifting a heavy sash.

Awning
Hinged at the top and opens outward from the bottom, creating a small awning effect that lets you keep the window open even during light rain. Often wider than they are tall, awning windows work well in bathrooms, basements, and higher wall placements.

Double-Hung
The classic choice. Two sashes that both slide up and down, so you can open the top, the bottom, or both. A great fit for bedrooms, living rooms, and dining rooms, especially in traditional or heritage homes where you want to keep the familiar look.

Sliding
Two sashes that glide horizontally along a track. Simple, straightforward, and easy to operate. Well-suited to wider openings, ranch-style homes, basements, and rooms where an outward-opening window would interfere with walkways or landscaping.
Window Styles
Which Style Fits Your Home
Gentek offers a full range of window styles, each suited to different rooms, ventilation needs, and design preferences. Here are the four most popular styles we supply.
Patio Doors
Quality Patio Doors for Your Home
Today's patio doors combine attractive design with energy efficiency, security, comfort, and smooth operation. As a Gentek Authorized Dealer, we supply doors built for durability and lasting performance in a wide selection of styles, materials, and glass options.

Materials
Materials and Styles
Choose from PVC, aluminum, wood, and other materials to complement your home's exterior and interior design. Each material offers its own balance of durability, maintenance, insulation, and appearance. Available in a wide selection of colours, finishes, and glass options so your patio door fits the look you want.
Best For
PVC · Aluminum · Wood · Mixed materials
Applications
Sliding patio doors, garden doors, and swing-style patio doors for new builds, renovations, and replacements.

Energy Efficiency and Performance
Today's patio doors are built for comfort as much as style. Energy-efficient features like Low-E glass and Argon gas help improve indoor comfort, reduce heat loss in winter, and keep interiors cooler in summer. Multi-point locking systems and reinforced frames add security and smooth operation that lasts for years.
Best For
Low-E glass · Argon gas · Multi-point locking · Year-round comfort
Applications
Energy-conscious homeowners, replacement projects where the old door is drafty or hard to operate, and new builds targeting improved thermal performance.

Bay, Bow, Picture, and Specialty Shapes
Bay and Bow Windows
Bay and bow windows project outward from the home, adding dimension to the exterior and creating a more open feeling inside. A bay window uses three units: a larger centre window with two angled sides. A bow window uses multiple units arranged in a gradual curve. Both bring in more natural light, expand the view, and create a focal point from inside and out. They also often add a small interior ledge or seating opportunity.
Best for: Living rooms, dining rooms, front rooms, and anywhere you want to make a design statement. Bay windows feel more angular and defined; bow windows feel softer and more curved.
Picture Windows
Picture windows are fixed. They do not open. Their job is to bring in natural light and frame the view. Homeowners often pair a large picture window in the centre with casement, double-hung, or awning windows on either side to combine an uninterrupted view with ventilation.
Best for: Living rooms, stairways, vaulted spaces, and front elevations. Keep in mind the trade-off: more view and light, but no direct airflow.
Specialty Shapes
Specialty-shape windows come in non-rectangular forms including arches, circles, half-rounds, triangles, and custom shapes. They add visual character, match architectural details, and create a distinctive exterior look, whether above a doorway, in a gable, or anywhere you want to break up a plain wall.
Best for: Softening a roofline, accenting a gable, enhancing an entry, or bringing more interest to a large wall.
How to Choose
The best starting question is not "which style?" but "what do you need this window to do?"
Want airflow? Casement, double-hung, awning, or sliding.
Want a better view? Picture windows, casements, or larger combinations.
Want curb appeal? Bay, bow, or specialty shapes.
Want simplicity? Double-hung or sliding.
Want character? Specialty shapes or window groupings.
Not sure what fits your home? Email us at info@citywindow.com with your measurements or a photo of the window opening, and we will help you figure out the right Gentek product for the space.
